Volunteer Opportunities

Please note, due to temporary operational changes in response to the COVID-19, CAER is not accepting new volunteer applications at this time. Thank you for your understanding.

Be sure to check out some ideas below for 'at-home' volunteer opportunities.

At-Home Volunteer Opportunity Ideas

  • Be an online CAER ambassador. Spread the word about CAER - you can find all the details to share for those seeking assistance, interested in donating, and more here: www.caerfoodshelf.org

  • Planning a summer garden? Consider adding an extra row of produce to donate to CAER.

  • Spread the word on social media! Let people know about CAER and encourage them to follow CAER on Facebook and Twitter -  @CAERFoodShelf.

  • Did your student bring home unused school supplies or backpacks? Consider storing them to donate to CAER in the summer in preparation for our school supply distribution.

  • Have extra fabric and like sewing? Sew tote bags for grocery packing for CAER clients. Hang on to the finished products for now and drop them off in a few months.

  • Knit or crochet hats and mittens. Winter will be back later this year. Just hang on to your finished products and donate them to CAER in September.

Thank you for your continued support and well wishes as we navigate these uncertain times. We really appreciate it.
