Trot O' Gold 5K

The Trot O’ Gold 5K is a fun, family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day run where you can walk, run, or stroll to help fight hunger in our community. Sign up as an individual or grab your friends and register as a team. Join the fun in costume if you want, and stop by our costume judges before the race. Registration is open all the way through event day, but you must register by March 1 to reserve your event t-shirt!

The annual Trot O’ Gold 5K brings the community together for a fun, family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day tradition in support of neighbors facing food insecurity. Each year, participants lace up their shoes to walk, run, or stroll, all while making a meaningful difference.

From festive costumes to strong team spirit, the energy of the day is felt from start to finish. Every step taken helps support CAER’s mission to provide food and essential resources to local families. The Trot O’ Gold 5K continues to be a powerful reminder of what our community can accomplish when it comes together year after year. We’re grateful to everyone who participates, supports, and helps make this annual tradition so special.

The event  coincides with Minnesota FoodShare Month, making it a perfect way to bring awareness, energy, and community to a month focused on supporting local food shelves.
